Lisa Chavez

Lisa Chavez is an attorney with Wagstaff, Alvis, Stubbeman, Seamster and Longacre, LLP, and joined the AEF Board of Directors in 2012.  She graduated with her BBA from McMurry University in 2001 and her JD from Texas Tech School of Law in 2005.  Lisa’s sister, Tanya Miles, is an elementary teacher at Jackson Elementary.

Lisa is married to Lanny Owens, a graduate of Cooper High School.  Both are passionate about public education and AISD.  They have a two-year old daughter, Lili, and look forward to her attending school in AISD.  In addition to AEF, Lisa serves on the boards of Noah Project and Future Fund of the Community Foundation of Abilene.   Other volunteer activities have included Abilene Young Lawyers’ Association (past-president), Volunteer Services Council, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Special Events Committee for United Way
of Abilene.
