The Abilene Education Foundation endowment, managed by the Community Foundation of Abilene, is a commitment to the future of education in AISD. The income from this endowment helps to run programs, pay for operational costs, and ensures the stability of the foundation.
The Dodge Jones Foundation (Abilene, TX) spearheaded the effort to establish an endowment for the AEF by generously providing the initial gift of $500,000. The Board of Directors for AEF continues to focus on growth of the organization's endowment through its annual fund and corporate drive efforts.
