AEF awards Teacher Grants to teachers who have innovative ideas to continue the quality education in Abilene. These teachers propose projects that pilot a program, test a theory, enhance learning, or otherwise directly benefit students. The grant may benefit one classroom or an entire grade level. These grants are primarily funded by donations from Abilene teachers through payroll deductions.
Applications are available online, in May of each year, at http://www.abileneisd.org and the AEF website.
In honor of these teachers' spirit of giving, AEF takes no administrative cost from these funds.
