NORTHWESTERN STATE UNIVERSITY ART SCHOLARSHIPS

AMOUNT:  $250 - $1,000 per semester

ELIGIBILITY:

Overall high school GPA of 2.5 or above

  1. Portfolio: an initial submission of at least 10 images on CD (jpeg or pdf) of artwork, which will be judged on:
    • Technical skill in handling of media
    • Design sense
    • Conceptual and creative ability
    • Presentation
  2. Three letters of recommendation from persons who are able to judge the applicant’s artistic skills, conceptual understanding, commitment to art, motivation, character, and overall strengths and weaknesses.
  3. An interview with the Art Faculty Scholarship Committee, though not mandatory, may be arranged with some applicants.
  4. Enrollment at NSU as full time students majoring in Art of Graphic Communications.

SAE Engineering Scholarship

SMART Scholarship - The Science, Math, and Research for Transformation Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: The SMART Scholarship for Service Program is open only to citizens of the United States. Persons who hold permanent resident status are not eligible. Proof of citizenship will be required. Students must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible. Applicants for undergraduate awards must be already enrolled in a U.S. college or university. ELIGIBLITY:  Applicants to the MetroPCS Community Scholars Program must be high school seniors attending high school and plan to enroll in a full-time* undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a standard 4.0 grading scale.


AWARDS: If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $1,000 award. Awards are one-time only and are not renewable. Awards are for undergraduate study only.
