Judy Dudley Memorial GIFT Grant
The Judy Dudley Memorial GIFT (Giving to First-time Teachers) Grant is awarded to AISD employees who are new to the teaching profession. Grant funds are for additional classroom materials to augment those provided by the school district. Judy Dudley, a teacher at Fannin Elementary, loved her students and understood the importance of creating an inviting classroom for children to learn and grow.
Martha Scott Carlson, a retired teacher, provided the first donation to begin the GIFT Grant Program, which is funded by Judy’s husband, Mike Dudley, and the Martha Scott Carlson Endowment Fund, held at Community Foundation of Abilene.
