3rd Annual AEF/AISD College and Technical Fair

The third annual AEF-AISD college fair was a tremendous success with over 1000 students in attendance and exactly 50 national accredited universities and technical colleges including University of Texas, Prairie View A&M, Universal Technical Institute, Sam Houston State, Texas Women’s University, Texas A&M and UNT just to name a few.  Free and open to the public, the AEF-AISD annual college fair was a great opportunity for students to interact with admission representatives from a wide range of postsecondary institutions to discuss course offerings, admission and financial aid requirements, college life in general, and other information applicable to the college application process.  Community partner John Martinez, Director ATEMS High School presented an informational session on the NCAA Clearinghouse application process and Patrick Lloyd, College Access Advisor for P-16 Council presented information on FAFSA/Financial Aid.  Information on scholarships was made available by Community Foundation of Abilene (www.cfabilene.org) and the Abilene Education Foundation (www.aaeeff.org).  Thank you again to all AISD students and parents who attended!
