Abilene ISD Payroll Deduction Campaign
The Payroll Deduction Campaign gives employees of Abilene ISD the opportunity to directly support STAR Teacher Grants, or any other AEF program through payroll deduction. This has allowed AEF to give away more money each and every year to STAR Teacher Grants. Employees may also specify their donation go to another AEF program. In the fall of 2013, employees of AHS, CHS, and ATEMS began a scholarship fund for a deserving senior at their school. Another reason the payroll deduction campaign has grown is due to the hard work of our campus liaisons who serve as spokespersons on behalf of AEF during their campus staff meetings. 100% of all funds raised through the payroll deduction campaign go directly into the hands of the teachers and students in Abilene ISD. This year campuses who reach 80%, 90%, or 100% participation will receive campus rewards including breakfast for the entire campus (based on percentage of participants). All employees who sign up for the campaign will be entered into a drawing to win one of ten $100 gift cards.
The 2017-2018 Payroll Deduction theme is “Let Your Ideas Shine.” Please open the following brochures for more information. 2017-2018 Payroll Deduction Brochure

ABILENE IS GOING CAJUN…AGAIN!
Mark your calendars for our 3rd annual full-day Cajun Fest Saturday, April 14th at the Taylor County Expo Center Fairgrounds.
The Cajun Festival is AEF’s annual fundraising event, which includes an authentic Louisiana style crawfish and shrimp meal, a 5K run/walk, live music showcasing the many talented student groups in AISD, food trucks, an inflatable park and activities for the kids, among a myriad of other entertainment options to make for a fun-filled day of adventure for everyone. Last year, we served thousands of pounds of crawfish, and the grounds were continuously hopping with guests showing their support for AEF while enjoying activities, such as D-Bat inflatable batting cage, robotics mazes, sweet treats, and Knockerball! Additionally, the community continued to pour out its support with an impressive showing of 150 runners (and crawlers) for the 2nd annual Crawfish Crawl 5K on the morning of the event.
Perhaps the best part of Cajun Festival is that the proceeds raised through the event go directly back to the teachers and students of Abilene ISD. We’ve all had a teacher who made a lasting impression in our lives. We all know educators who can attest there is never enough funding for new ideas and classroom support materials. AEF helps fund classroom supplies for new-to-the-profession teachers, helps turn college dreams into reality, and provides grants for classroom projects through its fundraising events. So come on out on April 14th, eat some crawfish, have some fun and support the students of AISD.

Every fall, in an effort to raise unrestricted and restricted funds, the AEF Board of Directors sends out a letter to previous and potential donors thanking them for their support. Click here to donate to Annual Fund. Donate here!
